World-renowned hospitality company Hakkasan Group have brought upscale Japanese restaurant, Sake no Hana, from the swanky streets of Mayfair to the edge of iconic Uluwatu for its Asian debut.
Sake no Hana is the new kid on the block. Perched high on the dramatic limestone cliffs of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, the restaurant offers an elevated Japanese dining experience and uninterrupted views of the Indian ocean.
Sake no Hana’s culinary philosophy centres on the Japanese term “shun” — which refers to the moment when an ingredient is at the peak of its perfection. Local produce is picked and plucked at just the right moment from around Indonesia and prepared with textbook precision. The result is an artful presentation and a taste that delivers.
Set against the stunning landscape of Uluwatu, Sake no Hana stands out for the sheer architectural grandeur it demonstrates. The open-air space is framed by the impressive wooden lattice work from highly innovative Singaporean firm WOHA. Sake no Hana was designed by New York powerhouse Rockwell Group to preside over OMNIA Dayclub whilst merging seamlessly with the glittering daylife excitement below.
By day, Sake no Hana is a scenic locale for enjoying a variety of light lunch options, including a Small Bites menu along with signature bento boxes. As dusk descends, the shimmery silver cube comes to life and Sake no Hana shifts into a grander gear. The evening menu boasts a variety of deluxe meat and seafood dishes as well as charcoal grilled mains, Toban-style fare and kamameshi rice dishes. You can observe as the chefs take centre stage behind the bar, meticulously crafting a selection of premium made-to-order sushi and sashimi.
For those who wish to sample the chef’s expert recommendations, the degustation menu is ripe with treasures. For a truly immersive dining experience, select a specialty cocktail from the impressive drinks menu. A draw in their own right, the handcrafted cocktails are a skillful symphony of classic elements combined with traditional local flavours such as pandan and dragonfruit.
In celebration of converging contemporary and classic tastes, Sake no Hana will be hosting a one-of-a-kind dining event that showcases a collaboration between two chefs. One Kitchen: Two Chefs will take place on the 30th of August, and is the first of many exciting dining experiences to feature at Sake no Hana this year.
