The Way You Move, The Way You Feel

Harris’ new approach in musical engineering was exemplified as an embrace of retro influence came to fruition with Dua Lipa in April’s release of “One Kiss.” Starting fast and growing evermore, the deep house recording was the marquee song at OMNIA as clips of fans singing along in the main room have filled social media. Nominations for the iHeartRadio Music Awards in support towards “One Kiss” have poured in as “Dance Song of the Year” and “Best Music Video” (a socially voted category) lead the way. Individually, Harris and Lipa’s body of work are to be respected as “Dance Artist of the Year” and “Female Artist of the Year” are in consideration.

Pouring Out Admission

Rivaling Calvin Harris for “Dance Artist of the Year” and “Dance Song of the Year” is none other than fellow OMNIA resident DJ, Zedd. Evolving his progressive house style to electronic pop, Zedd’s career skyrocketed to new heights as “The Middle” became an overnight success. Contacting country music star, Maren Morris, to add a layer of emotion through heartfelt lyrics, the partnership resulted in one of the years biggest hits. Breaking the number of weeks spent at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart, Zedd and Morris’ efforts gained critical acclaim.
